Michael Ventura
Michael is a creative entrepreneur. Endeared by the notion that good creative work can also drive solutions for clients, he founded Sub Rosa in 2005, focusing the firm’s efforts on building substantive, visceral interaction between brands and consumers. In 2010, Sub Rosa was awarded Advertising Age’s Small Agency of the Year. With successful campaigns for clients including Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Levi Strauss, L’Oreal, General Electric, Mountain Dew, Pepsi Cola, Sony Music, Diesel Fragrances, The ABSOLUT Vodka, Estee Lauder, The TED Conference and others the agency has a developed a powerful reputation for building rapport in key consumer groups. Before founding his own companies, Michael was a Creative Producer for HNW, a high-net-worth media agency, developing advertising and collateral campaigns for clients such as Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments. In addition, Michael has served as a media consultant for companies like New York University, DaniloBlack, BMG, Ziff-Davis and American Media.
Michael also sits on the boards of several organizations and non-profits including Behance and several United Nations-based NGOs. He has spoken on panels and at conferences regarding the role of creative and communication value in advertising and the media and has served as a judge for industry awards shows as well as the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards.
Michael lives in New York City with his wife Caroline. They will get a dog one of these days.
