Jewelry as a sacred tool for mindfulness
Amy Torello is an award winning jewelry designer from San Francisco that has called Mexico home for the last 17 years. After years of apprenticing around the world, she built her studio in Taxco Guerrero, right in the heart of the Mexican silversmithing tradition. Working with local artisans, Amy hopes to do her part to keep the craft alive in a region hard hit by the narco wars. She created her most recent project, The Humanity Ring, in conjunction with her husband as their small gift to the world- both as a fundraising vehicle for humanitarian causes as well as a personal meditation tool to help each of us find peace in these trying times.
